For rookies, golf rangefinder may be something that is hard to use at first but after reading the instruction manual and watching videos on YouTube it’ll be a bit easier. A hands-on practice on the course is the next step to mastering the use of golf rangefinders. While rangefinders are made to be user-friendly, you’ll need some advice on how to get the most out of it. Here aresome tips that will helpyou get that perfect distance.
Pick golf-designed rangefinders. This is one of the most common advicefor beginners in golf. Other kinds of rangefinders work differently which is why it is wiser and safer to stick to golf-made ones for accurate and reliable information.
Practice makes perfect. Don’t expect to do it perfectly after the first try. It takes a lot of practice to get it right and that’s normal. Practice coupled with patience will help you accurately use your rangefinder.
Take negative reviews with skepticism. The chances are either the unlucky chance of defective unit or due to an error of use by the buyer. This is the reason why one needs to properly use a device. A bad review from a golfer who doesn’t know how to use it can end up witha bad reputation of a fairly good rangefinder.
Make the most out of your rangefinder and improve each and every golf game you play. And for an easy to use a rangefinder, this Bushnell rangefinder might be your perfect match.
Bushnell produced another amazing device for golfers, the next advancement of PinSeeker with Jolt Technology. Tour V4 laser rangefinder carries the unmatched accuracy of Bushnell’s sports optics. One of the features this device boasts is that it’s legal for tournament play.
This rangefinder offers yardages to flags to as far as 400 yards out and one-yardaccuracy from 5 to 1,000 yards. It also has the Bushnell jolt technology that delivers a short vibrating burst to reinforce the laser locking it on the flag. In addition to these amazing features is the magnification that players love having.
Bushnell Tour V4 has a 5x magnification and a fast focus system thus seeing your shot clearly is no problem at all. It maynot be that significant to others but this rangefinder comes with a premium carry case and 3-Volt CR2 battery.
What people have to say about Bushnell Tour V4 JOLT Golf Laser Rangefinder?
“Beautiful, nearly perfection. Awesome engineering, size, andperformance. Beautiful case that attaches to your golf bag to slip it in and out of, or keep handy in the cart. Highly accurate, the standard device to which all others attempt to imitate.
BEWARE, however: the product video on this site is misleading. It very informatively implies that this device provides a slope. This model (Tour v4 Jolt) DOES NOT PROVIDE SLOPE. That is a much more expensive model (another $65-75), for some reason that product video is included in the information for this model.
That said, slope readings are outside the rules of golf (illegal)- and in my opinion, in most cases, rarely adds or subtracts a value that isn’t apparent to a good golfer anyhow, so going to the highest price point (for the Tour V4 with slope) is frivolous.”
“These little gizmos are great. I bought this because I often caddy for my grandson in Junior events so both in practice rounds and in most events, this rangefinderis very useful to measure both distances required as well as measuring distances of your player. I play 50 to 60 rounds per year and find the Bushnell Ghost more convenient and more user-friendlyfor the average player. This is only worth the money if you are a serious player in my opinion.”

“Works beautifully. I had tried other rangefinders and had trouble holding still enough to zoom in on target; with this,it is a breeze. Totally pleased.”
“I’ve never owned a rangefinder so I never knew what I was missing out on. Then I started playing with a buddy who used one and found out how helpful they are. If the pros use them (during practice rounds), why wouldn’t I? It saves you at least 2-3 strokes per round because you actually know which club to hit each time.
The LCD screen is clean, with black text that is clearly visible. The one issue I have is with the “pin seeking technology”. In order to get this thing to lock-in on the flag and actually vibrate takes at least 3 tries, sometimes upwards of 5, before it vibrates. That said, I’ve come to understand that the distance is still displayed correctly even though it rarely vibrates. So the distance is still correct, you just don’t get the physical feedback.”
“I love the small size and it’seasy to carry in the pocket. It’seasy to use, too. There is a minor allowance factor of plus or minus 1 or 2 yards but I think that is normal for pretty much all devices of this type. Highly recommend.”
Bushnell doesn’t disappoint. Tour V4 Jolt Golf Laser Rangefinder works excellently and is a great device for an affordable price. It’s lightweight, highly accurate, and easy to focus and read. The jolt system feature is well-loved by most users alongside the magnification. Although sometimes it has some small cons, the customer service is always ready to help.
This device is backed by a 2-Year limited warranty and everyone who purchases this rangefinder should be aware of such in case there’s something wrong with the product you got. So if you’re looking for a rangefinder for the first time or is wishing to upgrade your device, this Bushnell Tour V4 JOLT Golf Laser Rangefinder is a perfectchoice.
