What people have to say about Nikon Coolshot 20 Golf Rangefinder?
By N. Everett
“After much hesitation, I pulled the trigger on buying this rangefinder. Skeptical of the low price tag at first, I thought surely it was too good to be true. When finding it on sale for about $30 off the original price, I thought it was worth a shot. So glad I bought this. I previously had another high name brand rangefinder that quit working after a few years. This unit is in every way comparable. The clarity is unmistakably clearer than most other brand rangefinders. It is lighter and picks up on any flag I’ve ever attempted to reach. Important to me, it also easily reads bunker distances, water hazards, etc. Last time out on the course, I dribbled a tee shot, I shot the distance to the pin, 256 yards and it picked it up very fast and as clear as day. If you were like me and hesitant to buy this because of a “too good to be true” mentality because of the low price, buy this thing. I couldn’t imagine being more satisfied.”

“This rangefinder is so nice it takes the sting out of having lost my previous one on the course. This device is lightweight and small enough to fit nicely in your hand, and I have no problem measuring flags or features at 200 yards or more. The case fits nicely on my pushcart straps using the belt loop so it’s easy to draw the rangefinder out by its strap. Can’t go wrong with this one!”

“First rangefinder and I absolutely love it. It will help any serious golfer or any golfer looking to improve. It really is amazing how much more confident I am when I can trust the yardage and make a smooth swing. This gives a very accurate reading and finds any pin, or any other object you want a yardage on, instantaneously. It does not need a particularly steady hand to get a reading. My only advice would be to double check your yardage if there are a lot of trees in the back. Sometimes, with an unsteady hand, it picks up the background first.
There are obviously better rangefinders out there that calculate wind and elevation change (if you want to pay at least double the price). For anyone looking to start out with a reliable and fairly priced rangefinder, this is it.”

“This is done wonders for my golf game. I have not really had any issues with it and the accuracy is just as good as friends with comparable (but more pricey) product lines like Leupold or Bushnell.
It probably has taken 3-4 strokes off my game over the 8 rounds I’ve used it, whether I’m shooting hazards, trouble or the pin. It’s also great to watch the slow players ahead of you miss 3-4 foot putts.”

“Someone stole my Bushnell, so I replaced it with this COOLSHOT 20 & I am very pleased.
It is so light that I wear on my belt so that it always handy. Even an unsteady hand can use it.
You can scan & get the distance to several objects for about 8 seconds.”
